AT GEORGIA STATE:
All-conference punter with a career
average of 42.6 yards per punt in two seasons as the starter ...
Joined the program as a walk-on in the summer of 2011 and then
earned a scholarship for 2012 ... Named to the preseason All-Sun
Belt second team by Athlon Sports and College Sports Madness
and third team by Phil Steele’s 2013 College Football Preview ...
Tabbed to College Football Performance Awards Punter Trophy

2012:
Earned second-team All-CAA honors as voted upon by
the league head coaches ... Ranked second in the CAA in punting
average at 43.1 ... Had 21 punts of 50 yards or longer.
Opened the season by averaging 62.2 yards on five punts
against South Carolina State. That surpassed the FCS and FBS
records but will not count as an NCAA record due to GSU’s
reclassification. Named CAA Specialist of the Week and FCS
National Special Teams Player of the Week on Sept. 3 for that
performance ... His third punt against SCSU was a school-record
80-yarder. Also had boots of 58, 59, 55 and 59 yards in the game ...
Averaged 44.8 yards on eight punts at Tennessee and 48.1 yards for
seven punts against New Hampshire.
2011:
Took over the punting duties as a true freshman and
averaged 41.9 yards per punt (15th in FCS) ... Made his debut
against Old Dominion (9-11-11) and averaged 40.6 yards on 10
punts but had two kicks blocked ... Booted a 64-yard punt against
UTSA for the longest punt in GSU history. Averaged 47.0 yards
on five punts and was an honorable mention selection for CFPA
National Punter Performer of the Week ... Averaged 45.8 yards on
six punts against South Carolina State ... Had five punts of 50 yards
or longer and seven punts inside the 20-yard line.
HIGH SCHOOL:
All-county and all-region selection at
Starr’s Mill High School ... First-team all-county punter by the
Fayette News in 2010, when he averaged 42 yards per punt ... Also
played tight end and had nearly 400 yards receiving as a senior ...
Coached by Chad Phillips ... All-state goalie for a soccer team that
won the state title as a junior and was runnerup his senior year.
