AT GEORGIA STATE:
Joined the program in 2012 after
transferring from Shorter University in Rome, Ga.
AT SHORTER:
Played two seasons (2010-11) at Shorter ...
Honorable mention all-conference as a running back in 2011 ...
Shorter’s leading rusher in 2011 with 747 yards (6.5 yards per
carry) and five touchdowns in nine games ... Had a 91-yard
touchdown run against Union College on Nov. 5, 2011 ... Added
337 yards (5.9 ypc) and five TD in six games in 2010 ... Played for
Shorter against GSU in the Panthers inaugural game on Sept. 2,
2010 but did not carry the ball.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Four-year letterwinner at Toombs County
High School, where he played running back, quarterback and
defensive back ... All-region honoree ... Rushed for 900 yards and
six touchdowns as a senior.

AT GEORGIA STATE:
Three-year letterman on defense
... The team’s defensive captain for 2012 ... Versatile defender
who has played both safety and outside linebacker ... Joined the
program in the fall of 2009 and was a member of the inaugural
team ... Named to Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for both the fall
and spring semesters in 2009-10 as well as the fall 2011 ... Earned
his bachelor’s degree in May 2013.
2012:
Named to the 2012 CAAFootball Academic All-Confer-
ence team ... Selected as the team’s defensive captain following the
season ... Totalled 43 tackles ... Made his first career interception
in the 2012 season opener against South Carolina State; also had
a pass breakup and tackle for loss in the game ... Career-high nine
tackles versus UTSA ... Grabbed a fumble recovery and made
seven tackles against New Hampshire ... Missed two games due to
injury ... Earned the team’s “Head Coach’s Award” following spring
practice 2012.
2011:
Credited with 24 tackles on the season, plus one fumble
recovery and one pass breakup ... Played in every game, including
a start against Houston, when he made a career-high 10 tackles.
2010:
Backup on defense and a special teams contributor
on Georgia State’s inaugural team ... Credited with 12 tackles on
the season, including seven solo hits and five assists ... Had three
tackles, a quarterback sack and a pass breakup in GSU’s win over
Morehead State ... Added three hits against Lamar and two versus
Old Dominion.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Played for coach Ricky Tolleson at Bremen
High School ... Totalled 1,500 career rushing yards and 1,000
receiving yards while scoring 22 touchdowns ... Helped Bremen to
three region titles ... Also participated in baseball, basketball and
track ... National Honor Society.
